PRACTICAL, PROVERBIAL POINTS TO PONDER (Vol.9 Theme: Life)

  1. Studying God’s Truth changes our previous opinions. (2 Tim. 3:16)
  2. Nothing material brings lasting happiness because nothing material lasts. (1 John 2:17)
  3. Contentment is a priceless, profitable possession which costs nothing. Yet, it produces a quality of life that is greater than even kings. (Phil.4:11, I Tim.6:6)
  4. Life isn’t about gaining more, but about becoming new! (Col. 3:8-17, Rom. 6, Jn.3)
  5. Life’s value is seen after knowing its purpose; a zealous life lives out its purpose. (Rm. 8:29; Jn.10:10, Eph. 2:10)

  13. Christians can say “I’m not what I was; I’m not near what I’ll be. Praise God for still working in me.” 2 Peter 1:1-11.
  14. Selfishness hordes; selflessness shares. (1Jn.3:17,Mal.3)
  15. You have many talents to serve for a purpose. Eph. 2:10
  16. Your life’s excellence relates to the quality of your relationships. How are you & Jesus doing?
  17. Christian-compassion compels considerate communication & caring conduct. (1 Jn.4:1-11; Eph. 4:28-32)
  18. ‘Respect:’ a misunderstood virtue today. Several people demand to receive it but refuse to also give it. (Phil. 2:3, Mt. 7:12).
  19. To search for a friend, you’ll find them scarce. To be a friend, you’ll find them everywhere. Prov. 17:17; 18:24.
